BIO: Growing up in the small Ontario hamlet of Hanmer, Rachelle Pollari (nee Foucault) always knew she wanted to pursue her love of fashion. Following her studies in Fashion Technique and Design at Sheridan College, Rachelle started working for a couture manufacturer of evening and bridal gowns, where she met a young businessman and dress buyer, Sam Pollari.

Following their marriage a full-fledged career in the wedding industry followed, as Sam and Rachelle opened Amanda-Lina's Sposa Boutique in 1995. Rachelle enjoys travelling with Sam as they hunt for the best quality and most beautiful bridal gowns for the boutique each season. She also oversees all the custom alterations done in-house at Amanda-Lina's. The boutique's success reflects the perfect combination of Rachelle's great eye for fashion design and her naturally warm, welcoming hospitality, with Sam's family history in the bridal industry and savvy business mind.

meet Christina: At only 24 she's one of Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique's youngest consultants and she's carved quite the career for herself.

BIO: 24 year old Christina Iliev began her career in the world of weddings at Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique. After growing up in nearby Vaughn, Ontario, she worked in several fashion and beauty retail roles before finding her niche as a bridal consultant, helping women hunt for the dress that would make them feel amazing on their wedding day. The thing she loves most about her role at Amanda-Lina's is being part of her client's joyous occasion, and of course the excitement of her brides ringing the store's bell when they've found the perfect dress. When not working she loves to swim, read and travel.

Connie is an Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique staple and will help brides find the dress of their dreams when #SYTTDC premieres in just under two weeks!

BIO: As a mother of daughters, Italian-born Concetta (Connie) Di Matteo knows a thing or two about helping women find the perfect dress. After coming to Canada in 1981, and raising her family, she began her career as a consultant in the fashion retail industry.

When she joined Amanda-Lina's Sposa Boutique in 2008 she soon discovered her favourite part of the job; seeing a bride's reaction when she finds the dress of her dreams. Her goal in each appointment is to help her brides relax and enjoy the experience, as she believes every woman deserves their chance to feel like a princess.

Meet Dimitra, a former hair stylist who took her keen sense of style to Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique. Will she help our brides find that perfect dress?

DIMITRA

BIO: Toronto-native Dimitra Blanas discovered her passion for weddings through her work as a hair stylist. After becoming a licensed hair stylist and working at several salons, she attended wedding shows to study the bridal up dos. When she saw the beautiful gowns coming down the runway, she fell in love with the entire look from head to toe. While she had always had an affinity for fashion styling, she discovered her true interest was in helping women find a perfect look to set the tone for their wedding day.

Having worked in both the beauty and bridal industries, Dimitra knows the key to a client having a wonderful experience is the ability for her to build trust with them. Putting her brides at ease and helping them look past their pre-conceived notions to see what will truly flatter them and make them shine on their big day is her goal in each appointment.

Meet Erika - not only is she a bridal consultant on #SYTTDC but also pursuing her fashion career as a student at Ryerson University.

ERIKA

BIO: Erika Raposo began her career as a bridal consultant two years ago at Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique. While she may be young, her eye for style comes naturally, and has lead her to pursue fashion further, as she is currently working towards a Bachelor of Design, studying Fashion Communications and Marketing at Ryerson University. While she loves all areas of fashion, she has a special affinity for wedding dresses, as she knows that they are a piece of fashion that women will remember for the rest of their lives. Her role as a bridal consultant allows her to be part of that memory.

She encourages brides to not spend too much time studying gowns before their appointment, as she has seen time and again that brides will fall in love with a picture of a dress and be let down by what it looks like on them in person. Her knowledge of fashion and styling allows her to look past the trends a bride might be attached to and find the dress style that, as she would say, is just “perfect!”

Rania is another #SYTTDC Bridal Consultant and likes to think of herself as each bride's new best friend. Watch Rania Wednesdays starting January 7th!

RANIA

BIO: For each bride she has worked with as a bridal consultant in over ten years at Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique, she has made it her mission to be the supportive, honest and thoughtful help they need as they search for the dress that will make them feel like their most beautiful self. Whether it is hunting for the perfect style to show off a bride's shape, or adding that finishing touch of a veil to show the completed look, Rania loves nothing more than the rewarding moment when her brides know they've found “the one”.

Rania has lived all over the world, giving her an international eye for aesthetics. Her family, originally from Pakistan, has lived in Doha, Quatar, followed by Missouri, USA, and finally Ontario, Canada. It's no wonder her favourite hobby outside of work is to travel! It's also no surprise that the international globetrotter's best advice for brides is to keep an open mind. She has seen time and again that a dress that looks drab on a hanger can look dynamite on the bride in real life. Luckily for her clients, her years of experience and warm and honest approach are the key to having their “say yes” moment.

Meet Lee, a #SYTTDC Bridal Consultant! What kind of consultant do you think she'll be?

LEE

BIO: Liran “Lee” Cohen has a passion for all aspects of the wedding industry. Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, with a combined Israeli, American and Canadian background, Lee began her career in the industry as executive assistant and creative director at leading boutique creative services studio, Piper Studios & Richard Emmanuel Wedding Photography & Cinematography. Now, she relishes her role as the newest bridal consultant at Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique, and also moonlights as a day-of-wedding coordinator.

What drew Lee to become a bridal consultant is the role's perfect blend of creativity, fashion and communication. She loves knowing that while no two days on the job will be the same, every day she will meet amazing women and get the chance to help them find their dream dress to complete their perfect wedding day. When she isn't working she loves cooking, yoga, spending time outdoors, and of course immersing herself in all things fashion!

Our last bridal consultant reveal is a bittersweet one. Marcella had decades of experience in the fashion industry and helped some of our brides find their perfect dress but sadly passed away due to illness during the series' production. She is deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

MARCELLA

BIO: A native of Rome, Marcella De Angelis fittingly began her career in fashion working in a boutique along the famous Spanish Steps. Italy was the epicenter of fashion in the 50's and 60's and Marcella was there, learning everything that would make her an incredible resource for her clients throughout her career.

After moving to Canada, her European sophistication served her well at roles at fashion institutions like Holt Renfrew, Simpson's and the Pollari family's own Lina Sposa Boutique. In 1995 she joined Sam and Rachelle Pollari as they opened Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique, and has remained an integral member of the team of bridal consultants ever since. With many decades in the bridal industry under her stylish belt, she still loves to make every bride feel like royalty, and can't get enough of the look in their eye when they've found their one and only dress. For Marcella, like is not good enough, as she'll always ask the bride “Do you LOVE it.”
